Microformats: Path to a semantic web

Meeting Start Time: Tue, 05 Jun 2007 19:00:00 -0700

Microformats are sort of a KISS technique that get us closer to the mythical 'Semantic' web. They do this using a developer's existing skills in HTML, XHTML and most importantly work in ALL existing browsers.

The format for this talk will be more of an open, group discussion, and input from all who attend is highly encouraged. So be sure to come with questions and comments on how you believe Microformats can be utilized in todays Web space.

So who is using Microformats thus far: Yahoo, technorati, cork'd, flickr to name a few

and of course the Firefox plugins are appearing: Tails and Operator

Even Bill says we need them (please don't hold that against microformats)

Post meeting will be at Barley Mill Pub
